Maddie & Tae are a country duo made up of Madison "Maddie" Marlow, a native of Sugar Land, Texas, and Taylor "Tae" Dye, who is from Ada, Oklahoma. The two met as teenagers through a shared vocal coach and built their harmony-driven sound together.
They broke out in 2014 with their debut single "Girl in a Country Song," a pointed, witty response to the "bro-country" trend, released through Dot Records on their debut album "Start Here." The song became a major country hit and established them as one of the genre's most distinctive young acts.
