Welcome to RoadyGoat ("we," "our," or "the app"), a location-based music discovery service that connects songs to the places they come from. By using RoadyGoat, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RoadyGoat — whether through the iOS app, the website, or any related services — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

RoadyGoat is a location-based music discovery app. It uses your geographic location to surface artists from nearby towns, songs that reference the places you're passing through, and stories about the music tied to the land around you. The service includes playlist generation, artist and song information, GOAT voting, and community-submitted content.

3. User Accounts

RoadyGoat does not require you to create an account. Your preferences, liked songs, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, those preferences are lost. We do not maintain user profiles or accounts on our servers.

4. Music Streaming Integration

RoadyGoat integrates with Apple Music and Spotify to play songs. To play full tracks, you must have your own active subscription to one of these services. RoadyGoat does not provide music streaming itself — it acts as a discovery layer on top of your existing subscription.

• Your use of Apple Music is governed by Apple's Terms of Service.
• Your use of Spotify is governed by Spotify's Terms of Use.

Without an active music subscription, playback may be limited to 30-second preview clips where available.

5. Community Contributions

RoadyGoat allows users to submit artists, songs, location connections, and stories. By submitting content, you agree that:

• Your submissions become part of RoadyGoat's public database and may be displayed to other users.
• You grant RoadyGoat a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your submissions within the service.
• You will only submit information you believe to be accurate and that you have the right to share.
• We may edit, remove, or decline to publish any submission at our discretion.

6. GOAT Voting

RoadyGoat features a community voting system ("GOAT") for ranking artists. By participating, you agree to the following rules:

• You may cast one vote per artist per day.
• Votes must reflect genuine personal opinion.
• Coordinated vote manipulation, vote trading, or any scheme to artificially inflate or deflate an artist's ranking is prohibited.
• We reserve the right to void votes and restrict access if we detect manipulation.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the service, including voting, submissions, or data collection.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from RoadyGoat.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the service or its infrastructure.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Submit false, misleading, or spam content.

We may suspend or block access to anyone who violates these rules, without prior notice.

8. Intellectual Property

Music played through RoadyGoat is owned by the respective artists, songwriters, and record labels. RoadyGoat does not claim ownership of any music, lyrics, or album artwork. All music is delivered through licensed platforms (Apple Music, Spotify) and their respective rights agreements.

The RoadyGoat name, logo, interface design, and original content (including our curated location data, artist stories, and editorial text) are the property of RoadyGoat. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our original content without permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

RoadyGoat is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• All artist, location, or song data will be accurate or complete.
• Any particular song or artist will be available for playback (availability depends on your streaming service and region).

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoadyGoat and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, given the app is free, is zero).

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website. Your continued use of RoadyGoat after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
